Freelance Boxing Writers – KO On SI
This is a remote Freelance Writer position for KO/Boxing On SI, part of the Sports Illustrated family. The role requires a deep understanding of boxing and involves creating engaging, high-quality written content covering news, rumors, special features, and much more. The ideal person is embedded in boxing culture and must be willing and able to quickly react to news to create content.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience writing for a sports news site/blog.
- Passionate and knowledgeable about boxing
- Proven experience writing clear, polished and engaging copy
- Excellent research skills with the ability to source and vet information from reputable sources. Plagiarism is not tolerated.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to grammar and style guidelines
Preferred
- 2+ years of experience writing about boxing
- Knowledge of SEO best practices
