Elite Editing is seeking a seasoned freelance writer for the creation of customer-centric, business-focused customer evidence case studies and marketing materials for our Fortune 500 business clients in the technology industry.

With the support of editorial staff, our writers use messaging strategy and key story points from the client alongside specific information, metrics, and quotable statements from the customers (typically C-suite and director-level stakeholders) to weave key client messaging into a unique customer success story, providing a public-facing final product that is valuable to both our clients and their stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Research business trends, technical solutions, and industry-specific challenges.
- Become knowledgeable about all story elements as tracked and recorded by our interviewers.
- Craft a story strategy using client marketing and messaging guidelines and information from customer interviews.
- Write engaging, on-brand case studies in line with a client-specific style guide.
- Collaborate with internal teams to follow and improve relevant processes.
You’ll be at the top of our list if you have:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in business, technology, or IT-related writing, marketing, or journalism
- Experience writing outstanding customer evidence case studies
- The ability to move deftly between multiple style guides and brand guidelines
- An understanding of how to quickly establish and leverage a brand’s tone and voice
- Prior agency experience or an understanding of agency/client relationships
Time commitment
- Availability for a minimum of 15 hours per week for writing and revisions
- Flexibility to respond to work offers quickly (within one business day)
- We occasionally seek availability to complete expedited writing assignments in 1 to 2 business days
Rate information
- Paid training
- Rates are tiered based on experience gained through completed work and demonstrated skill
- Higher pay rates are available for expedited work
