Executive Ghostwriter
Job Title: Executive Ghostwriter
Neuemotion | Remote, US
Salary Range: $105,000 – $120,000
About Us
Neuemotion is an advertising agency that takes BIG brand marketing to definable social audiences with science-backed creative ideas. Founded by Ted Harrison, Twitter & X’s former Head of Production, Neuemotion applies neuroscience to content marketing in a unique blend of science and art.
Job Overview
We’re looking for a top-tier Executive Ghostwriter. Your core job: become the voice of C-suite executives on LinkedIn. You can read an executive’s cadence, instincts, and point of view from a handful of transcripts or a single call, and write in their voice so precisely that their own team can’t tell the difference.
We’re looking for ghostwriting in the fullest sense: disappearing into someone else’s voice while still making the writing sharp, human, and built to perform on LinkedIn.
You’ll sit inside Neuemotion’s dedicated account team, reporting to the Associate Director of Production, and will also support broader social-first copywriting needs across the company’s client roster.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Ghostwriting (core focus)
- Study an executive’s speech patterns, opinions, and public presence, and translate them into LinkedIn posts, articles, and talk tracks that feel native to that person, not branded
- Work from source material that ranges widely in quality and completeness: interview transcripts, voice memos, decks, a 15-minute call, or nothing but publicly available, self-sourced material
- Maintain a distinct, consistent voice per executive across a portfolio of clients simultaneously, without voices bleeding into one another
- Build trust with clients directly in live reviews: ask sharp questions, get candid material out of guarded people, and turn it into something they’re proud to ship
Supporting Copywriting & Production
- Translate brand guidelines and strategic briefs into copy built to perform: social posts, video scripts, carousel narratives, ad copy
- Distill research and white papers into platform-native social content
- Collaborate with Strategists and Editors so copy and creative are aligned from brief through delivery
- Communicate clearly on timelines, status, and blockers across concurrent workstreams
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of professional writing experience, with a meaningful track record in executive ghostwriting, speechwriting, or high-stakes voice work — not just brand copywriting
- A portfolio that can speak to writing convincingly in someone else’s voice, ideally for a named or describable executive
- Fluency in LinkedIn as a platform and advertising ecosystem, including what makes executive content perform vs. read as corporate
- The judgment to know when consistency to a brand or exec’s known voice matters, and when the rules should flex for a better idea
- Comfort operating with incomplete direction: you extract what you need from an executive or their team rather than waiting for a polished brief
- Clear, direct communication: you flag blockers early, take feedback well, and know when to push back
Bonus Points
- Prior experience specifically ghostwriting for C-suite executives (LinkedIn, bylines, or speeches)
- Agency or contractor background writing across multiple clients/voices at once
- Working knowledge of AI-assisted writing tools, and the judgment to use them without flattening someone’s actual voice
- Proves an existing knowledge of how executive presence contributes meaningfully to marketing objectives
