Scriptwriter – Commentary Niche – Short-Form – READ DETAILS | YZvidz
We’re looking for a highly fluent English writer to handle the creative pipeline for our YouTube Shorts in the commentary niche. That includes everything from finding proven ideas and viral clips to building the story structure and writing the final script.
During the first few weeks, you may begin with scriptwriting while learning our systems. Once trained, you’ll be expected to handle the full process independently, all by following our SOPs.
**Important: Expect frequent feedback, corrections, and revisions. We believe consistent iteration is how strong writers improve and become A-players.
What You’ll Do
- Research proven ideas and viral clips that fit our channels
- Build clear story structures with strong hooks, progression, and payoffs
- Write concise, high-retention scripts for 30–40 second YouTube Shorts
- Match an established writing style and follow detailed SOPs
- Develop a clear vision of how the final video should flow visually, and lightly guide the editor towards it.
- Apply feedback and revisions accurately
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent written English with natural, conversational phrasing
- Strong understanding of short-form storytelling, hooks, progression, and viewer retention
- Experience with YouTube Shorts
- Good research skills and strong judgment when selecting ideas and clips
- Ability to visualize the final video while writing the script
- Ability to follow instructions and closely match an existing style
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
- Open to frequent feedback and continuous improvement
- Capacity to eventually complete up to 14 scripts per week as we scale
The current workload is 7 scripts per week, with the potential for increased volume over time.
You do not need to be based in the United States, but your English must be very fluent & clear
Important
The use of AI for writing the scripts is NOT allowed. All submitted work must be completed by you; we wouldn’t be hiring a writer otherwise… (Do not try to pass off AI-generated work as your own; we will catch on.)
