Tennis Scriptwriter & Video Producer For IRL Tennis Videos – $150-$250 Per Project
We’re looking for a freelance scriptwriter and video producer to help us bring our long-form tennis content to life — challenge videos, training documentaries, narrative-driven episodes, and edutainment stories. You’ll be scripting and shaping the kinds of tennis videos that don’t exist anywhere else on YouTube.
This is a project-based role, not full-time — but we’re looking for someone we can bring in regularly to help us pre-plan, script, and shape episodes from start to finish.
What You’ll Do:
- Take early-stage video ideas and help develop them into a loose narrative structure before filming
- After the footage comes in, watch the content and build a full editor-ready script with VO lines, structure, tone notes, and editorial beats
- Include notes for the video editor (transitions, what footage goes where, what should be cut, tone shifts, etc.)
- Collaborate closely with the channel lead and editor to make sure the pacing and voice of the channel stays consistent
- Contribute to creative ideation: pitch video ideas, challenges, skits, and narrative formats that make people care about tennis
Who This Role is For:
- You’ve written scripts for YouTube videos before — ideally for IRL or documentary-style content, not just video essays
- You understand how to structure a story, break it into scenes or chapters, and pace it for an online audience
- You’re a tennis fan — or at least know the ins and outs of the sport and follow the pro tours
- You’re creative and original. You’re not just using AI to fill a script — you know how to pitch, write, and think like a real storyteller
- You understand YouTube’s pacing, tone, and audience expectations
- You can write scripts that feel natural when spoken aloud — not stiff or overwritten
Bonus if:
- You’ve worked on sports content (especially tennis)
- You’ve helped build content packets for IRL shoots before (scripting out what to film, what to ask people on-site, etc.)
- You’re familiar with the Courtside Tennis channel or similar high-quality YouTube storytelling
What This Is Not:
- This is not an AI-assisted, “script generator” job
- This is not your first time writing for video
- This is not a role for someone who doesn’t watch or care about tennis
We’re building something new for the sport — and we need smart, creative people to help us shape it.

We’ll ask you to share samples, tell us about your tennis background, and walk through a short creative exercise so we can get a feel for your instincts and style.
