Technical Writer, Hubspot – $53,000—$80,000/year
The goal of HubSpot’s documentation is to empower users to self-serve. As a Technical Writer on the Self-Service Documentation team, you will be responsible for sourcing, creating, and maintaining documentation for HubSpot’s core product UI, CMS development, and APIs. You will make content decisions based on product release information, case data, and feedback from users and internal stakeholders. For this role, we are looking for individuals with strong written communication skills and a deep understanding of and empathy for HubSpot’s users.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with an assigned group of Product Managers, Product Marketing Managers, Designers, and Product Experts to stay up-to-date on product changes and releases.
- Gather information from multiple sources and turn it into written content that is helpful for users.
- Edit existing content to ensure that it adheres to our style guide and is consistent with HubSpot’s overall brand and voice.
- Review and take action on internal feedback.
- Make proactive, data-driven content decisions to improve the user experience of HubSpot’s documentation.
- Collaborate with other Technical Writers to maintain a written style guide.
- Take ownership of user experience and process improvement projects as needed.

Pay & Benefits
The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
