Contract Details
- Remote @ 40 hours per week starting June 23, 2025 for 3 months
- United States candidates ONLY
- 3 month contract
- Schedule is 9-5pm EST with daily communication via Teams
- $45 per hour on a 1099 / C2C

About the Role
The Technical Writer plays a crucial role in the successful rollout of documentation deliverables. This position involves creating, editing, and coordinating comprehensive process documentation, user manuals, technical guides, and help topics. Flexibility and adaptability to new information or direction are essential. The Technical Writer supports internal frameworks by coordinating documentation related to compliance, audits, and quality processes. Required experience with; MadCap Flare, HTML/CSS, Visio, and SharePoint.
What You’ll Do
- Work collaboratively with documentation and external teams to align documentation with approved source information.
- Write help topics and other documentation that support the business as needed.
- Comply with and help enforce documentation standards, policies, and procedures.
- Report status, issues, and risks to the Documentation Lead on a regular basis.
- Write SOPs related to process compliance and change management.
- Ensure documentation is well-maintained in collaboration with the Documentation Lead.
- Perform ad-hoc activities as required.
- Create visual aids such as diagrams and charts to assist readers in understanding complex concepts.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of style guides and templates for consistency.
What We’re Looking For
- 3 – 5 years of documentation or technical writing experience, preferably with MadCap Flare experience.
- Intermediate knowledge of HTML/CSS. Strong knowledge is preferred.
- Experience producing documentation in an Agile environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail oriented, organized and prioritizes effectively.
- High level of self-motivation and desire to grow in the role.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and cooperatively in a virtual team environment.
- Solution oriented with strong analysis skills.
- Able to critically evaluate information from multiple sources.
- Working knowledge of process mapping and change management is preferred.
- Considerable familiarity with common software tools, specifically Microsoft Office applications, including Visio, SharePoint; experience with MS Teams is a plus.
