Tech/Gadget YouTube Scriptwriter – $35 per 1000 words
We are a media company producing viral content on YouTube for 10+ years. Right now, we’re hiring a scriptwriter for our gadget-focused channel YouFact Tech (960k subscribers) which features engaging list-style videos about innovative gadgets, consumer tech, and futuristic devices. Our audience is mainly from the U.S. and loves discovering new, useful, or unusual tech.
We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys researching the latest gadgets, watches launch videos for fun, and understands what grabs attention on YouTube.
What You’ll Do:
- Research viral tech/gadget topics
- Craft a strong hook/intro that grabs attention in the first 10-20 seconds and sets up the theme of the video
- Write list-style scripts (15–20 gadgets/talking points per video, 2000–3000 words)
- Include multiple source links per point (product videos, promo reels, articles, or Fair Use footage), so that the editor clearly sees what visual to insert for each section
- Work in Google Docs, with fast turnaround (48h max per script)
What We’re Looking For:
- Excellent written English (C2 or native)
- Passion for gadgets, future tech, product design, and YouTube culture
- Ability to write in a fun, casual video-ready scripts that are engaging, well-structured, and easy to follow on screen
- Collaborating with our video editor to ensure the script flows visually and narratively
- Reliability: you respect deadlines and can collaborate async
Payment:
- $35 per 1000 words (typically $70–$106 per script, depending on length)
- Open to negotiating for experienced writers
