Sports Illustrated Writer – $30 – $32 an hour
Sports Illustrated Writer needed for a contract opportunity with the potential for extensions based on performance and business with our client.
- 3-month contract, with potential for extension based on performance and business needs.
- $30-32/hr. rate
- Remote opportunity
- Worker’s Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 hours each day (25 hours weekly) – No work during weekends
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
- Start Date: As soon as possible (Monday start dates only)
Job Duties
- Producing engaging sports betting content consistently
- Using stats and analytics to explain betting insights
- Writing quickly and accurately about major sports, incorporating betting angles
- Creating 7-8 concise stories daily
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 1-3+ years in the field (3+ years preferred)
- Skills: Familiarity with WordPress, efficient content creation, team player, creative, ambitious
- Location: CST or EST time zones preferred for remote work
- Work Environment: Fully remote, operating on EST time
Interview Process
- A 30-minute virtual interview via Microsoft Teams with the Hiring Manager
- A timed, online short story writing assessment if the candidate moves forward
Ideal Candidate
- Efficient, self-starter, team player, creative, good sense of humor, ambitious
- Experience writing about sports and sports betting, creating high-volume content
Additional Notes
- No overtime unless approved by the Hiring Manager
- No travel or expense reimbursement
Estimated Min Rate: $30.00
Estimated Max Rate: $32.00
