About the Role
The Social Media Specialist, will play a pivotal role in consolidating Ossur’s global social media presence and creating engaging content that resonates with amputees. You will be responsible for managing multiple social media platforms, developing a global content calendar, and overseeing an influencer program.
What You’ll Do
- Social Media Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with overall marketing goals and targets the specific needs and interests of amputees .
- Content Creation: Develop and curate high-quality, engaging content that speaks directly to amputees, including inspirational stories, product demonstrations, educational resources, and behind-the-scenes glimpses.
- Community Building: Foster a strong and supportive online community for amputees by actively engaging with followers, responding to comments, and participating in relevant discussions.
- Creative Brief Development: Develop clear and compelling creative briefs that outline marketing objectives , target audience, messaging, and desired outcomes.
- Market Feedback Collaboration: Work closely with market teams to gather insights on market dynamics, consumer trends, and competitive landscapes.
- Global Content Calendar: Create and manage a global content calendar that aligns with marketing goals and ensures consistent posting across all platforms .
- Influencer Program Management: Identify and manage an influencer program to collaborate with relevant individuals and organizations to amplify Ossur’s message and reach a wider audience.
- Social Listening : Utilize social listening tools to monitor brand mentions, industry trends, and customer sentiment.
- Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze social media performance metrics to measure ROI, identify trends, and optimize strategies.
- Stay Up-to-Date : Stay informed about the latest social media trends, algorithms, and best practices to ensure Ossur’s campaigns remain relevant and effective.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with B2B Marketing, R&D, sales, product management, and other departments to ensure alignment and maximize marketing effectiveness.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing , Communications, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in social media marketing, preferably with a focus on DTC or healthcare.
- Proven track record of building and managing successful social media communities.
- Strong understanding of various social media platforms and their algorithms.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Creative and innovative mindset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for helping others and a deep understanding of the amputee community.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written English.
