SEO Lead (Remote Canada)
Felix is Canada’s first end-to-end platform providing on-demand treatment for everyday health. Felix provides online treatment, prescription delivery and ongoing care across a growing range of categories such as mental health, sexual health and daily health.
In just 5 years, we have expanded to treat over 17 common healthcare categories, enhanced our diagnosis solutions with integrated lab testing and expanded our pharmacy network to ship to almost every province in Canada.
Over this time, Felix has delivered 24 quarters of consecutive growth in both revenue and profit, making it one of Canada’s fastest-growing tech companies. But more importantly, over 1 million Canadians trust Felix Health for their everyday healthcare needs.
We see a tremendous opportunity to further accelerate growth – and more importantly – we have big ambitions to build a truly iconic Canadian brand. We’re looking for the right, creative-minded growth marketer to help us achieve this goal
The Role
Reporting to the Director of Growth, the SEO Lead will play a pivotal role in scaling Felix’s organic growth engine by leading our search strategy across AI-optimized content, technical SEO, and organic conversion funnels.
This is a high-impact role focused on driving non-paid acquisition, expanding Felix’s digital presence across high-intent health categories, and using AI-enhanced tools and insights to build a durable SEO moat.
The ideal candidate has deep SEO expertise, strong technical and content instincts, and a forward-looking mindset about the future of search. They are highly data-driven and comfortable working cross-functionally with growth, product, engineering, and medical content teams to turn organic search into a core revenue driver.
In this role, you will:
- Own the SEO Roadmap: Lead strategy and execution across technical, content, and programmatic SEO to increase traffic, rankings, and conversion.
- AI-Powered Content & Optimization: Leverage generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Jasper, SurferSEO) to scale content production, keyword clustering, SERP analysis, and metadata optimization—without sacrificing accuracy or brand voice.
- Experiment with AI Search Trends: Stay ahead of changes in user behaviour due to tools like Google’s Search Generative Experience (SGE) and AI Overviews; adapt our approach to win visibility in emerging formats.
- Site Architecture & Crawl Optimization: Collaborate with Product and Engineering to enhance indexation, crawl budget efficiency, internal linking, and structured data markup.
- Scale SEO Content: Partner with writers, editors, and medical reviewers to publish high-quality, compliant, AI-assisted content across service pages and blog resources.
- Analytics & Reporting: Build dashboards in GA4, Looker, and GSC to monitor organic performance, AI-generated content tests, and cohort impact.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Creative, Medical, Brand, and Product teams to ensure SEO strategies align with broader business priorities.
We’re looking for someone who:
- 5–8+ years in SEO, growth marketing, or digital content strategy—ideally with experience in DTC or health tech
- Proven experience scaling organic acquisition using both traditional and AI-enhanced workflows
- Comfort using or managing AI SEO tools (e.g. SurferSEO, Clearscope, Frase, Jasper, ChatGPT, etc.)
- Strong understanding of technical SEO: indexation, page speed, schema markup, sitemaps, redirects, internal linking
- Experience managing freelance writers and editors with clear briefs and style guides
- Familiarity with Google’s evolving AI-in-search experiences (SGE, AI snippets)
- Bonus: Experience in regulated industries like healthcare or financial services
Pay and benefits
- Full medical, dental and vision benefits
- Maternity/paternity policy
- 4 weeks vacation (3 weeks anytime + 1 week during the holidays)
- Competitive compensation
- Stock option grant
- Remote first, work from anywhere in Canada
- Incredible culture powered by a highly collaborative and high-performing team
- Large impact at an early-stage technology company
- Professional development opportunities, working closely with founders and the senior leadership team
Location: Toronto, Remote (Canada). We have an office in Toronto, but are currently working remotely and open to candidates from anywhere in Canada.
