Senior Copywriter, Data Axle
We are searching for a data-driven Senior Copywriter to join our award-winning digital creative agency. This position is responsible for ideating, creating, writing, editing and proofreading content for top-tier clients across industries including travel, healthcare, retail, banking, and more. Primary focus is on email marketing, but broader experience in cross channel marketing – especially social and digital content is required.
The location for this role is remote.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement email marketing and other digital campaigns to drive engagement through thoughtful content planning, creative copywriting, testing and optimization, following email marketing best practices.
- Develop content that considers the entire customer journey, cross-channel experience, targeting capabilities, and user experience.
- Present creative concepts to clients showing enthusiasm and subject matter expertise.
- Perform exacting reviews of copy for quality, accuracy, impact, and branding.
- Work as part of a cohesive team that includes clients, designers, account managers, strategists, and email production.
- Keep mindful of schedules for completion of projects and records of historical and current projects.
- Act as SME on content marketing best practices internally and externally.
- Strive to “surprise and delight” the clients with every creative execution.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
- Expert level email marketing skills – you should be able to write killer subject lines, know the value of white space, and stay on top of email marketing best practices.
- Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels in the company and with various business contacts outside of the company in an articulate, professional, friendly manner.
- Outstanding writing, editing, proofreading, grammar, spelling and punctuation skills.
- Proactive, creative individual who is passionate about writing.
- Ability to anticipate and react quickly in a dynamic business environment.
- Possess a strong digital design sensibility (design skills a plus, but not required)
- Must be a team player.
- Must be able to multitask to meet strict deadlines.
- Significant experience with Google Docs, Google Sheets, Powerpoint.
Education, Experience, and Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing or equivalent.
- 5-10 years experience in digital marketing with a focus on content strategy, marketing planning, development and marketing copywriting required.
- Email marketing experience and applicable writing samples required.
