Scriptwriter/Researcher | Silent Truths
We are launching a high-quality YouTube channel focused on fascinating, little-known facts about humans, biology, and how the world actually works — the kind of information that makes viewers say “wait… what?” and keeps them watching to the end.
We’re looking for an experienced YouTube scriptwriter / researcher who understands how to combine deep research, storytelling, and YouTube retention mechanics into highly engaging 10-minute scripts.
This is not a generic content writing role. We need someone who understands:
- How to hook viewers in the first 5–10 seconds
- How to structure scripts for retention (curiosity loops, pacing, payoff)
- How to make complex science and human facts feel accessible, emotional, and compelling
- How YouTube actually works
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Researching interesting, unusual, and surprising facts/topics about:
- Human biology
- The brain, body, evolution, behaviour
- Strange scientific truths most people don’t know
- Writing high-retention 8–12 minute YouTube scripts
- Creating strong hooks, engaging narrative flow, and satisfying conclusions
- Having experience in educating in a humorous and entertaining way
- Working from broad topics or video concepts and turning them into polished scripts
- Occasionally suggesting video ideas and angles
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience writing for YouTube (not blogs, not SEO articles — YouTube)
- A strong understanding of YouTube storytelling and retention psychology
- Excellent research skills with reliable sources
- Ability to write in a conversational, clear, and engaging tone
- Ability to simplify complex topics without dumbing them down
- Someone who is creative, curious, and genuinely interested in science and human behaviour
Requirements:
- Please include links to YouTube videos you have written for (or channels you’ve worked with)
- Or samples that clearly show your ability to write engaging video scripts
- Strong English writing skills
- Reliable communication and ability to hit deadlines
