Script Writer — Single-Case True Crime Documentaries | Catching Killers – $800-$1,500 Per Project
We’re looking for new talented writers to join the Catching Killers team!
We started as a standard compilation channel. That got us this far. The next chapter is more ambitious — long-form, single-case police bodycam documentaries built around real footage and real storytelling — and we need a writer who wants to grow into that with us.
If you’re a strong writer & enjoy true crime content — this could be the role for you.
*THE ROLE*
We handle the grunt work — sourcing the footage, organizing the timeline, your job is to take the case we give you and create the part that actually matters — writing the story.
*Because of the nature of true crime, this role may involve seeing graphic content.*
*YOUR APPLICATION*
Send us two things:
1. Links to scripts and videos you’ve written for true crime, bodycam, or similar content (if any).
2. Link to a YouTube true crime video you’ve watched recently that you thought was written really well, with a short message (1–4 sentences) on what made the writing work.
Applications that stand out will be sent a 1–2 page sample project to complete. If the sample is exceptional, we’ll bring you onto the team — and pay you for the sample.
