Script Writer for YouTube Channel
About the Job
We’re looking for a talented Script Writer who can turn complex topics in tech, startups, and artificial intelligence into compelling, easy-to-follow stories. You’ll work closely with our research and editing team to create 8–12 minute documentary-style scripts designed to entertain, educate, and keep viewers watching to the end.
Ideal Candidate
- Has experience writing for YouTube, especially business, tech, or storytelling channels.
- Understands narrative structure, retention hooks, and pacing for online audiences.
- Can write in a tone similar to channels like ColdFusion, MagnatesMedia, or Jake Tran.
- Has a genuine curiosity for AI, startups, and how digital businesses make money.
- Delivers work on time and can adapt based on performance metrics and feedback.
Job Requirements ⬇️
Proven Writing Experience:
You’ve written scripts for YouTube channels, podcasts, or documentaries, ideally in the business, tech, or storytelling space.
Strong Understanding of Storytelling:
You know how to structure a narrative that hooks viewers, maintains curiosity, and delivers insights in a clear, engaging way.
Research Skills:
You can take a complex topic (like how OpenAI makes money) and simplify it without losing accuracy or depth.
Familiarity with the AI/Tech Landscape:
You stay updated on major AI companies, new startups, and industry trends.
Retention-Focused Writing:
You understand pacing, pattern interrupts, and how to write scripts that keep viewers watching until the end.
Collaborative Mindset:
Comfortable receiving feedback from the production team and refining scripts to match the channel’s tone and visual direction.
Consistency & Reliability:
Able to deliver 1–2 high-quality scripts per week on deadline.
Language Proficiency:
Native or near-native fluency in English with strong grammar and storytelling flow.
