We’re looking for a Resume Writer who’s more than just a wordsmith.
You’re a storyteller, a strategist, and someone who can help mid-career and executive professionals market themselves with clarity and confidence.

MUST-HAVES (ROLE REQUIREMENTS):
- You’ve written 50+ resumes or career docs (resumes, LinkedIn, cover letters) for mid-career or exec-level clients.You can dig deep and uncover the story behind a career.
- You know how hiring managers and recruiters think, and you tailor materials that make clients stand out.
- You’re deadline-driven, detail-obsessed, and incredibly organized.
- You align with HTYC’s mission: helping people do meaningful work on their terms.
BONUS POINTS (NOT REQUIRED, BUT AWESOME IF YOU HAVE):
- Paid experience writing LinkedIn profiles & cover letters.
- Worked with a wide variety of industries, ages, and job types.
- Made career changes yourself (extra empathy points).
- Already familiar with HTYC, CliftonStrengths/StrengthsFinder, or both.
- Used agile, scrum, or kaizen methodologies.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE (KEY RESULTS AREA):
- Clients walk away with resumes, LinkedIn profiles, and personal branding docs that get them noticed (and get interviews).
- Materials are always evolving and improving under your touch.
- You help us focus on what works, cut what doesn’t, and share data-driven insights.
- Your fingerprints are on every improvement we make in personal branding.
WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY DO:
- Review & rework resumes: Rewrite, refresh, and polish resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles.
- Be our go-to expert: The team will rely on you for all things resumes.
- Extract key content from client materials and integrate it into resumes and branding docs.
- Create strong, consistent personal branding statements.
- Ask smart clarifying questions when info is missing.
- Proofread meticulously—no errors make it past you.
- Partner with HTYC Career Coaches to align resume strategy with each client’s career change goals.
- Join team meetings and training sessions when needed.
This role is 100% remote and project-based—work from wherever you do your best work. The only exception? We get the whole HTYC crew together a couple times a year (usually 2–3). Why? Because we actually like each other and because some of the best ideas and connections happen in person.
We’re looking for a Resume Writer who’s excited to be part of a team that has each other’s backs. This isn’t a solo “build your own business” gig (we cheer for those, but that’s not what this is).
