Advanced Sports Media Group is dedicated to the growth and celebration of college and high school-aged soccer and volleyball and amateur pickleball. Our two digital properties are TopDrawerSoccer.com and PrepVolleyball.com – think ESPN.com for club/HS/college soccer and volleyball (or if you’re familiar with Rivals, they are identical to Rivals). Our pickleball brand, National Pickleball, owns and operates 20+ amateur-focused pickleball tournaments across the nation each year. We are fully-remote and nationally-distributed company (ie. you can work from wherever you want!).

Advanced Sports Media Group is seeking a top-flight Editor for PrepVolleyball.com. This is a remote position, so you must be self-motivated and results driven.

As our volleyball expert, you will drive the content and coverage direction, your voice will be heard, and your impact will be tangible.

We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, bring a creative vision, and use their existing network of high school and club connections to grow the brand and increase subscriptions.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Daily editorial production for PrepVolleyball.com
• Continuous tracking of high school and club teams and players for ranking purposes
• Placing content on the web site including photo layout, headline writing and arranging/rearranging of articles, videos and other content
• Driving subscription revenue and assisting with the pursuit of potential sponsors
• Covering major events within the high school and club volleyball landscape, including daily article production, photography, and social media posting/creation/content gathering – ~10-20% travel
• Participation in the Unsigned Senior Showcase and any other PrepVolleyball.com related events
• Creation of and participation in social media content initiatives (live Q&A, expert advice, player evaluations, etc.)
• Leading/recruiting freelance writers when needed for event coverage, periodic articles, etc.
• Customer service and support when required or contacted

• BA/BS Degree
• 1-2 years of digital journalism
• Basic use of Photoshop
• Supherb organization skills
• Familiar with CMS platforms for content creation and data updating
• Proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Forms, Sheets)
• Display a strong working knowledge of all social media platforms
• Familiarity with youth, high school and collegiate sports, including recruiting
• Gifted, energetic communicator that can develop relationships and “own the room”
• Self-motivated, fast-paced, highly results-driven and extremely entrepreneurial
• Former club/collegiate volleyball player or coach
