Part-Time Specialist, Digital Content Editing (Remote)

Compensation Range: $30 – 35 per hour
We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Part-Time Specialist, Digital Content Editing to work alongside Creative Writers and Art Directors. This role is responsible for generating clear, compelling, and brand-aligned copy for various digital platforms, with a focus on e-commerce content for major retail sites. The ideal candidate has experience leveraging brand language, applying SEO best practices, and working in a fast-paced agency or similar marketing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Content Generation: Generate high-quality copy for a variety of digital assets, including website articles, e-commerce product descriptions, promotional copy, eCRM, blog entries, and social media posts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, etc.).
- E-commerce Focus: Generate and optimize content specifically for e-commerce pages on major retailer sites (e.g., Amazon, Walmart).
- Optimization & SEO: Leverage existing product campaign language and optimize all content according to SEO best practices, web standards, and specific outlined objectives.
- Call-to-Action Strategy: Write new content for paid advertising, focusing on implementing effective call-to-action (CTA) strategies.
- Compliance: Utilize creative problem-solving skills to take into account consumer insights and SEO best practices while ensuring all copy remains legally compliant.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Creative Writers and Art Directors to ensure the brand’s look, tone, and feel are consistently extended across all content.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. Degree in Journalism or Marketing Communications is preferred.
- Experience: 3 or more years of professional writing experience is required.
- Agency Environment: Experience within an advertising/marketing agency or similar fast-paced environment is strongly preferred.
- E-commerce/Digital: Past experience with online content development, especially generating copy for e-commerce pages, is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with digital products is a plus.
Skills
- E-commerce Copy & Social: Proven experience generating copy for e-commerce pages and creating social media content/posts.
- SEO: Strong familiarity with SEO best practices for optimizing digital content.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Schedule: Part-Time (20-35 hours per week).
- Time Zone: Fully remote candidates MUST work during Central Time (CT) team hours.
- Portfolio Requirement: Candidates selected for hiring manager interviews will be required to present a portfolio of work showcasing relevant content and copy generation.
