Part-Time Freelance Sports Betting Writer- Remote – $21 – $30 an hour
Yoh is seeking a Part-Time Freelance Sports Betting Writer, for a 4-month contract, possible extension to join our client, Remote, reporting from their office in New York, New York
The candidate will write 2–3 short sports betting preview stories daily, analyzing upcoming games and providing picks based on stats and betting trends. This is a freelance, part-time role focused on high-volume, engaging sports content.
- $22/hr. max hourly rate
- 15 hours a week max. morning hours required! days to be discussed at interview
- Must have experience within Sports, both high-volume content & sports betting experience
- Experience from the following publications preferred: SB Nation, CBS, Sports Betting Dime, Sports Illustrated and FanSided
What You Will Be Doing
- Produce engaging sports betting content at scale utilizing stats and analytics to informs users about why you’re making your pick for individual games
- Write quickly and accurately on all major sports topics and incorporate sports betting information within those articles.
- Leverage a goal-oriented mentality to execute sports betting content
Who You Are
- HS Diploma or GED required, Degree preferred
- Proficiency with content management systems (e.g., WordPress), writing tools (Google Docs, Grammarly), and basic SEO practices for formatting and optimizing articles preferred
- Proven experience writing sports content, preferably with a focus on betting or analytics.
- Strong understanding of sports betting terminology, odds formats, and wagering strategies.
- Ability to produce high-volume, high-quality content quickly and accurately under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with major U.S. sports leagues and current sports news and trends.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, deadline-driven freelance environment.
