Need 5 copywriters from US, UK, Canada, Australia & New Zealand – $0.20 to $0.90/word
Hey everyone,
So here’s the deal – I run an ecom store and we’ve got subdirectories for 5 different countries. Right now they all sound… well, the same.
I need writers who actually GET their local market, and can be cheeky with their copy while still being able to write strong copy. You know those sayings and expressions that just hit different when you’re from there? That’s what I’m after.
What I’m thinking: I want to hire one writer from each country (US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand) who can capture that authentic local voice. But here’s the twist – you’d all work together to keep the overall brand consistent. Think of it like a writing room.
The gig:
- Write content that sounds like it’s actually from your country (not just spelling “colour” differently)
- Work with the other 4 writers to make sure we’re all on the same page brand wise
- Help me figure out how to sound local but still cohesive across all markets
I’m not looking for the cheapest option here – good work costs money and I get that. But I’m also not trying to get ripped off. Looking for guidance, whether this work is gonna cost me $0.20 a word or $0.90 a word.
If you’re interested, hit me up with:
- Where you’re from
- Your rates (however you like to charge)
- Maybe a quick example of how you’d write something for your local market vs generic “international English”
- If you’ve done collaborative work before (not required, just curious)
This could be a really fun project if we get the right people together. Plus you’d get to work with writers from around the world, which I think is pretty cool.
Drop a comment or shoot me a message, whatever works for you.
EDIT: I’m looking for people with experience writing on product pages/collection pages/home pages/sales pages. Not copywriters with only article writing or screen writing experience. If you think you can still do a good job without that experience, pick a random product from a website you really like and rewrite that pages copy and send it through!
