General Summary:
The Content Author is responsible for entering content (images, copy, video, HTML, CSS) across multiple CMS platforms. The Content Author maintains a high level of understanding of our client’s content, products and CMS platform. This role collaborates closely with Producers, Product Leads, Engineers, and QA to ensure content needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Entry – Support Product Development Lead with data entry efforts
- Ensures data entered is accurate and optimized for the platform
- Builds a fundamental knowledge of how to efficiently navigate client products and CMS structure, and often trains/consults with other teams (Producers, Creatives, Account) on content entry best practices
- Communication – Proactively communicate with team members to make sure that task delivery is on track; identify and communicate potential issues to the Product Development Leads and Engineering team
Day to Day:
- Accept tasks from Product Development Leads, Producers, and Engineers
- Review and provide feedback on product feature requirements
- Develop basic web interfaces with HTML and CSS
- Problem-solve content issues
- Work with client technical partners to resolve content server issues
- Develop documentation and assistance tools
- Contribute to team meetings
- Update professional knowledge by researching new technologies and software products, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, etc.
Experience:
- Basic Computer skills, CMS experience preferred
Education:
- BS Computer Science or related experience
Skills and Abilities:
- Highly organized and detail oriented

- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Strong problem-solving abilitie
- Aptitude for learning new technologies
