Your Role as a Copywriter:
The Copywriter will produce engaging and persuasive product marketing content for our clients and prospective clients. This role will support DonorPerfect Fundraising Software (donorperfect.com). A creative copywriter will write clear and concise copy for product collateral, website content, social media, blogs, emails, ads, and publications. Your words will inform and engage target audiences. Our ideal copywriter is a team-spirited, skilled, and imaginative writer with an eye for detail and a quick grasp of project requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, write, edit, and proof all levels of copy including headlines and body copy, for all online, offline, external, and internal needs, including all our advertising, emails, web pages, print ads, direct mail, fact sheets, client profiles to improve our materials so that they are engaging, well written and persuasive. This will improve visitors, increase sales conversions, and/or improve client satisfaction.
- Ability to capture the intended audience’s attention in a few words and sometimes an image or two to increase the likelihood of our intended call to action.
- Write content for lead generation and lead nurturing, for both prospects and clients, including articles, whitepapers, blogs, and direct mail to persuade intended actions for increased revenue and/or client satisfaction.
- Engage actively with developing content marketing at all levels of the sales funnel to attract visitors, convert them to leads, and persuade them to choose our products and services.
- Collaborate with the sales teams to create emails and other content to win new clients and sell products and services to existing clients.

Key Requirements:
- Excellent writing skills, as well as creativity
- Excellent communication skills
- Social Media familiarity (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube…)
- Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.
- Works well with others in a collaborative environment, while also capable of working individually on projects
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to take critiques and instructions well
Education and Experience:
- 3 – 5 years of experience in copywriting
- Writing for the software market or nonprofits
- English, Journalism, Marketing, or Writing focused Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
