Role Overview
We’re looking for a sharp, strategic writer who can quickly grasp a client’s tone of voice, understand their audience, and consistently deliver clear, compelling content. You’ll work across formats—LinkedIn posts, newsletters, blog articles, basic SEO content—and often start from AI-generated drafts that you’ll refine and elevate.
You’ll work closely with our creative and marketing team to develop content across both Sunrise and our client accounts. This is a great opportunity for a strong writer with editorial instincts, a love for words, and a desire to work with brand-driven, strategy-led creative.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and refine AI-generated content drafts for clarity, tone, and impact
- Write original content for newsletters, blog articles, and LinkedIn posts
- Adapt and apply different brand voices across various clients and formats
- Follow editorial and brand guidelines for quality and consistency
- Help document and improve our internal content and AI workflows
- Deliver high-quality work on time with minimal revisions
Success in This Role Looks Like
- Clients say: “This sounds just like us—but better.”
- Our agency brand voice becomes more consistent and compelling
- AI-generated content feels human, thoughtful, and easy to read
- Content performance improves through better clarity and storytelling
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of content writing, editorial, or copywriting experience
- Portfolio or writing samples that show clarity, voice, and versatility
- Strong editing skills and attention to tone, grammar, and structure
- Comfort working with or improving AI-generated drafts
- Excellent written communication and time management
- U.S.-based or work-authorized to be paid as a 1099 contractor
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with construction, B2B, or professional services
- Experience with SEO writing and content strategy
- Ability to interpret brand guidelines and voice/tone documentation
- Familiarity with LinkedIn and newsletter marketing
What’s In It For You
- Flexible remote work and async collaboration
- Variety of content types and creative challenges
- Opportunity to grow into a lead content editor or strategist role
- Ownership over your work, with clear briefs and real impact
- Work with an ambitious agency doing things differently in a traditional industry
If you’re a strategic writer who knows how to elevate content and wants to help build something exceptional, we’d love to hear from you.
