Content Quality Assurance Editor – $6,400/month
Kira is looking for a contractor with experience and expertise in ensuring that online course content meets high quality standards, and has a terrific attention to detail.
Role Responsibilities
- Ensure that Kira’s online course content meets our high quality standards and is free of errors. Most courses are in the domain of computer science.
- Our goal is for this contract position to begin in November and continue with full-time work until January when we will have successfully migrated course content from one format to another on the Kira platform.
- Proofreading and editing for grammar, clarity, style.
- Verifying consistency across content (brand voice, style guide, terminology).
- Ensuring accessibility and readability.
- Running QC/QA on content workflows: checking for broken links, formatting issues, between‑platform consistency.
- Collaborate with Kira Content Team supervisors to ensure project goals of timeliness and quality are met.
Desired Qualifications
- Solid experience with copy editing and creating high-quality online course content
- Excellent English verbal written and communication skills
- Ability to manage a project effectively, meet ambitious deadlines, and work highly independently
- A positive, can-do attitude. You’re not deterred by minor setbacks and are able to swiftly overcome ambiguity
- You believe feedback is a gift. You can thoughtfully share feedback to others as needed, and you can receive feedback and grow from it.
Compensation
Compensation is based on achieving specific deliverables and goals throughout the project. Compensation will be provided in three payments as you create high-quality, on-time content for each unit of the course.
There are three units in the course, and roughly one-third of the compensation will be paid after the successful completion of each milestone unit. The total compensation will be $6400 if all units are completed successfully.
Background Check
Kira will make a conditional job offer in line with local, state and federal laws, and a subsequent criminal, education, and employment history background check will then be issued.
