Body-Cam Scriptwriter (YouTube Long-Form Channel) | Red Thread Interrogations
Our YouTube channel produces long-form body-cam compilations (25–60 minutes, typically ~35 minutes) that blend raw police footage with clear, informative narration.
Since entering the niche 1.5 years ago, our videos have collectively generated over 60 million views. We’re now expanding our team — this is a serious, long-term project, not a short-term gig.
Your Role
You’ll turn hours of raw body-cam footage into a cohesive, engaging narrative.
Watch supplied footage and select the key moments that tell a complete story.
In some cases, research and source relevant clips to build full compilations.
Write time-coded scripts with logical sequencing and concise commentary explaining legal context, officer decisions, and suspect behavior.
Ensure tone is factual, balanced, and never sensationalized.
Requirements
Proven experience writing YouTube scripts, ideally for body-cam, true crime, or law enforcement content.
Solid understanding of U.S. law enforcement practices and citizens’ rights to maintain accuracy and fairness.
Excellent storytelling and summarization skills — able to simplify complex events clearly.
Reliable turnaround for long-form scripts (25–60 minutes).
Compensation & Schedule
Pay: USD $80–$100 per script (depending on complexity and quality).
Format: Remote, ongoing freelance contract.
Frequency: Several scripts per month.
