Job Summary
We’re seeking a skilled AI Content Writer to produce high-quality, engaging, and optimized written content with the support of AI tools. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience using AI models for content generation and a strong grasp of writing fundamentals. You’ll be responsible for creating and editing articles that align with Learn.org’s brand tone and SEO strategies.
As an AI Content Writer for , your job is to use AI as a tool to streamline the content creation process and enhance quality, not to prompt and publish as is. We use AI to help us with the heavy lifting — researching, comparing sources, and crafting content based on top results and SEO best practices — and give us a solid starting point. After the prompting stage, you’ll take the AI-assisted draft and turn it into a great piece of content that carefully incorporates human speech and seamlessly integrates with the rest of Learn.org’s content.
The AI Content Writer will be expected to prompt, generate, refine, and edit articles from start to finish in a target range of 30 to 60 minutes per article, depending on the content type. You must excel at creating high-quality work in tight turnaround times.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Editor-in-Chief to generate written materials using AI tools (ChatGPT, Google Gemini).
- Generate and edit 35 to 50 articles per week (roughly 7 to 12 articles per day, depending on the project).
- Refine prompting to create high-quality drafts that adhere to band style, voice, and tone.
- Ensure accuracy by fact-checking every article crafted with AI tools.
- Conduct light research and incorporate credible sources into AI-assisted drafts.
- Edit AI-generated copy for tone, clarity, and grammar.
- Prompt and edit AI content for SEO compliance: ensure natural use of one to three target keywords, one to five (on average) internal links, and one to three (on average) external links.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of professional writing experience.
- Minimum of six months of experience working with AI content generation tools in a professional setting (either for personal freelancing business or hired AI writing/editing role)
- Basic understanding of prompt engineering or AI model capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience working with AI content generation tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Jasper).
- Strong editing and proofreading skills.
- Close attention to detail as it relates to grammar, flow, and accuracy.
- Ability to adapt writing tone and style to our audience and platform.
- Familiarity with SEO content best practices.
- Comfortable working independently and meeting tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience writing for higher education and/or career-based industries.
- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Webflow).
- Experience writing in digital content marketing.
