Position Overview: We’re looking for a freelance social media manager with exceptional Instagram expertise to join our team. You’ll work directly with our clients (B2B, SaaS, tech, apps, professional services) to build engaged audiences, create scroll-stopping content, and drive measurable results on Instagram.
This role is perfect for you if:
- You live, breathe, and understand Instagram (algorithm changes, Reels trends, engagement tactics)
- You can create compelling short-form video content and eye-catching graphics
- You’ve grown Instagram accounts for B2B, tech, or service-based brands
- You understand how to make “boring” B2B topics engaging and shareable
- You’re based in Greater Philadelphia and available for occasional in-person collaboration or onsite video recording
This is a contract/freelance role with potential to grow into ongoing partnership for the right person.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Create and curate engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Monitor social media channels for mentions, comments, and direct messages.
Engage with the online community and build relationships with potential clients/customers.
Analyze performance metrics to measure campaign success.
Use insights to adjust strategies and optimize performance.
Provide regular reports and updates on social media performance.
Collaborate with clients to ensure strategies remain aligned with their business objectives.
Crafting and managing social media content calendars
Accurately capturing and conveying client brand voice and tone.
Graphic design tasks using Canva.
Participating in weekly team meetings (15-30 mins).
Utilizing ClickUp for project management.
Adhering to project timelines and submission deadlines.
Regular communication through Slack and ClickUp
Staying updated with new social media trends.
Must-Haves:
- 3+ years managing Instagram for brands (not personal accounts)
- Proven experience with B2B, SaaS, tech, apps, OR professional service brands (we need someone who gets this world)
- Strong Instagram Reels/video editing skills (show us your work!)
- Graphic design proficiency in Canva (able to create on-brand, professional content)
- Audience growth track record (show us accounts you’ve grown organically)
- High engagement rates (you know how to make people actually interact, not just scroll)
- Exceptional writing skills with strong grasp of grammar and style
- Located in Greater Philadelphia area (occasional in-person collaboration)
- Rigorous attention to detail
- Comfortable with fluctuating workloads (some weeks busier than others)
Bonus Points For:
- Experience with LinkedIn content (our clients often need both)
- Understanding of StoryBrand framework
- Experience with mission-driven or nonprofit brands
- Photography/videography skills (shooting content, not just editing)
- Experience managing Instagram ad campaigns
Additional Skills (Preferred but NOT mandatory):
- Experience in creating video content for platforms like Reels.
