Technical Writer (Contract)
Seeking technical writers to develop, edit, and obtain approvals for governance documents (policies, frameworks, and standards) for a large financial company. Successful candidate will augment an existing department and follow their established process and guidelines. Must have proven technical writing experience in the financial services industry. Ability to work well with a team, multiple subject matter experts, and various work channels essential. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Term of contract is through the end of 2026 with possible extension. Only applicants with banking and finance backgrounds will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Work with multiple internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding documentation requirements and approvals.
- Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
- Follow prescribed templates and existing internal processes as instructed.
- Create and maintain the information architecture
Skills
- Proven working experience in technical writing of standards, policies and frameworks
- Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
- Excellent written skills in English
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s degree preferred

Pay: $50.00 – $70.00 per hour
