Freelance/Contract Senior Web Copywriter
The Sandberg Goldberg Bernthal Family Foundation (SGBFF) works to build a more equal and resilient world. We bring people together to support each other through four initiatives: LeanIn.Org, LeanInGirls.Org, OptionB.Org, and the Dave Goldberg Scholarship Program.
Project Overview
We’re working on the biggest update to our digital presence since we started – an ambitious website relaunch that will redefine how people discover and experience our programs. To make it a success, we’re seeking a seasoned, consumer-focused copywriter – someone who can capture attention, inspire action, and make our programs feel as irresistible as they are impactful. You’ll partner with our Programs, Marketing, and Web teams to craft copy that elevates our core programs, connects meaningfully with a global community, and inspires people to engage with our work.
Deliverables
You’ll be responsible for writing and refining copy across our redesigned website and related communications:
– Website Core Pages: Program overviews (Current examples here and here), registration flows, and promotional modules
– Email & Sign-Up Flows: newsletter sign-ups, nurture campaigns, and program and report downloads
Other Considerations
– Timeframe: Start date is ASAP. This is a time-bound contract role ( ~6 months) with an average of 20-30 hours/week initially, with the potential for increased hours ahead of major milestones.
– Process: Applicants should provide a portfolio/book of consumer-facing work which demonstrates range, creativity, and impact. Examples of inspirational product storytelling for web are most helpful. Qualified applicants will be invited to an initial call, followed by a brief writing assignment. Additional conversations with selected applicants will follow.
$100 – $150 an hour
Final rate dependent on experience, skills, and qualifications
