You’ll join a small, hungry team producing daily YouTube Shorts in the drill/rap niche. We’re hiring 2 script writerswho can work 7 days a week on a rolling schedule and deliver high-retention scripts with solid sourcing and a clear narrative arc. You’ll hunt viral story angles, validate them with quick market analysis, and turn them into punchy, clean, ad-friendly scripts that our editors can cut the same day. We meet once a week on Zoom to review analytics (CTR, AVD, watch-through, RPM) and iterate. This isn’t a “quick money” gig—it’s a full-commitment, team-first role with the shared goal of scaling the channel.

• Culture-tuned storyteller: Deep familiarity with hip-hop/drill culture, slang, and trends—can write with authenticity without crossing platform policy lines.
• Viral radar: Knows how to spot emerging stories before they peak; reads sentiment and timing; understands what gets clicks and retention.
• Fast + accurate: Can research, fact-check, and script quickly with links, names, dates—no fluff, no guesswork.
• Platform-savvy: Writes specifically for YouTube Shorts (tight hooks, clean pacing, on-screen text cues).

Job Requirements

• Output:
• 5 Shorts scripts per day (≈35/week) — each fully scripted and sourced (links to articles/clips/posts), with:
• 1–2 line hook
• 15–30s structured beats (no dead air)
• On-screen text/B-roll cues (brief)
• 2 title ideas + thumbnail text idea
• Market analysis: Daily topic scouting using trends/tools; brief note on why it will perform (timeliness, novelty, social proof).
• Compliance: Write in a way that’s advertiser-friendly (no graphic detail, no how-to violence, no doxxing/harassment); respect fair use and credit sources.
• Availability: 7 days/week (hand-off windows agreed in advance); weekly Zoom analytics review.
• Speed & reliability: On-time delivery; same-day minor revisions within 12 hours.
• Tools & skills (must-have):
• Google Docs, YouTube Studio (basic analytics), Google Trends, Twitter/X, Reddit, TikTok, Instagram and Facebook reels for sourcing
• Trello
• Strong written English; Gen Z type of grammar, efficient note-taking and link hygiene
• Experience: Prior writing for YouTube (commentary/doc/hip-hop) or demonstrable samples that show hook writing, pacing, and sourcing.
