Our client is seeking a passionate and creative Social Media Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective social media strategies to enhance our online presence, engage with our audience, and drive brand awareness.
This is a fully remote role, working 20 hours/week. Must be based in PST timezone to be considered.
Key Responsibilities
– Develop and execute social media strategies that align with marketing goals.
– Create and curate engaging content across various social media platforms.
– Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback, and community engagement.
– Analyze social media metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
– Must be able to handle last-minute content needs and fast turnarounds with a positive attitude.
– Support occasional live or video based promotions, takeovers, and Q&As.
– Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency in messaging and visuals.
– Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices.
Qualifications
– Proven experience in content creation and digital marketing.
– Strong copywriting skills with a keen eye for detail.
– Familiarity with social media platforms like Sprout Social, Canva, Meta Business Suite, Figma and basic video/image editing apps.
– Nice to have skills: Community engagement experience, knowledge of SEO, and brand strategy.
– Basic graphic design skills and communication skills are a plus.
– Higher education or mission driven brand experience is a plus.
