About the Role
We’re looking for a Part-Time Content Marketing Copywriter to help us engage, educate, and convert both patients and therapists through thoughtful, persuasive, and conversion-driven writing! Your primary focus will be on patient communications across the full lifecycle, with secondary support for therapist recruiting and partner-facing initiatives.
This role goes beyond writing: you’ll collaborate closely with our designer to ensure content aligns with visual layout and channel-specific formatting, adapting copy to character count and layout needs. You’ll contribute to digital and print campaigns, communication flows, and evolving formats including short-form video. You’ll also think strategically about user journeys and lifecycle phases, customizing messaging to meet users where they are.
This is a great fit if you’re a strong writer with experience in healthcare, sales messaging, patient education, and/or lifecycle marketing – and you enjoy cross-functional collaboration and building content systems.
Who You’ll Be Writing For
- At Luna, your words will support two core audiences:
- Patients & Caregivers: Primarily adults aged 55+ recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, or experiencing mobility limitations. Many are new to physical therapy or hesitant to seek care. Your content should build trust, simplify clinical concepts, and encourage them to book care or restart after a break.
- Therapists: Licensed physical therapists considering joining Luna’s network. These clinicians are seeking greater flexibility, less burnout, and more earning potential. You’ll craft messaging that reflects their motivations and showcases Luna as a supportive way to grow their careers.
Responsibilities
- Write persuasive content across email, SMS, blog, website, digital ads, print mailers, landing pages, and more
- Collaborate with a designer to ensure word count and layout work across assets and campaigns
- Build and test email campaigns in HubSpot, aligned to patient lifecycle stages
- Develop therapist-facing copy to support recruiting campaigns
- Create content for partner distribution, including hospital and health system collateral
- Assist with video content direction, including scripts and creative framing
- Tailor messaging by lifecycle stage (e.g., acquisition, onboarding, re-engagement, retention)
- Balance clarity, empathy, and action in all communications
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience writing marketing content in healthcare, wellness, or patient-focused industries
- Proven ability to write sales-oriented messaging that drives conversions
- Strong understanding of lifecycle and direct-to-consumer marketing strategies
- Experience working directly with designers to align copy and layout
- Familiarity with HubSpot or similar email platforms
- Excellent writing and editing skills, especially for translating clinical concepts into plain language
- Experience writing for both digital and print formats
- Strong organizational and communication skills; able to work independently in a remote environment
- Interest in contributing to video and multimedia storytelling
