Duration: 6+ month contract- 40 hours/weekly

The Digital Content Manager will collaborate closely with content strategists, interaction designers, visual designers, and business stakeholders to create and manage compelling, user-friendly websites, sections, and pages. This role involves both authoring and publishing content using enterprise-level content management systems (CMS). The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of web usability, SEO principles, and content governance for large, complex, and regulated websites.
The successful candidate is a skilled communicator and web manager—proficient in authoring, writing, and editing—with the ability to present complex health insurance products and services in clear, actionable language. A strong understanding of HTML, CMS tools, and digital content best practices is essential. This role demands someone who can thrive in a fast-paced corporate environment and quickly gain a deep understanding of the business and its products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to author and manage digital content across websites and digital platforms.
- Write, edit, and structure content to support user experience goals and business objectives.
- Translate complex healthcare and insurance topics into user-friendly language that supports task completion and decision-making.
- Apply best practices in web usability, accessibility, and search engine optimization (SEO).
- Operate within enterprise content management systems (CMS) to publish and manage site content.
- Ensure consistency and quality through QA and UAT processes, including detailed checklist reviews and process alignment.
- Support content governance and content lifecycle management for a large, regulated web environment.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to align content strategies with business goals and customer needs.
Qualifications:
- BS degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in web publishing within a highly regulated industry (eg. healthcare, health insurance, finance)
- Proficiency in Enterprise Content Management; Adobe Experience Manager (AEMaaCS) is required. Experience with Adobe Target is a plus
- SEO knowledge and web writing/editing
- Demonstrated experience with Q/A and UAT activities
- Experience collaborating with UX/UI designers, content designers, and marketing strategists
Preferred Skills (nice to have):
- Experience with Agile Tools (Jira and Confluence)
- Experience with plan cycle content, open enrollment cycles a plus
