Senior Copywriter (healthcare/insurance/B2B writing) – $65.00 – $67.50 an hour
Required Qualifications:
- Portfolio links and/or relevant writing samples must be included for consideration.
- 7 plus years of creative writing in a health care focused environment, preferably health benefits marketing. Healthcare experience is required.
- Employee benefits knowledge and experience is desired.
- B2B writing experience is mandatory.
- Experience with collaboration and teamwork within the creative team and across the organization as needed.
- Must be a strong strategic thinker with the ability to influence, guide and mentor creative writers.
- Proficiency with AP or Chicago Manual of Style.
- Experience writing applications in traditional and emerging channels.
- Experience adapting style of copy to various audiences, purposes, or media.
- Knowledge of compliance and legal requirements (disclaimers) surrounding copy.
- Experience utilizing AI to proof and/or enhance copy.
- Strong knowledge of Brand, style, and consistency standards.
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of working for a large, complex client organization and/or creative marketing agencies or organizations.
- Experience with MRM tools (i.e. Workfront).
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Journalism, English, Creative Writing, Communications, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
MUST HAVES:
- Must have someone that can work with lower-level creatives (25%) and do hands on work (75%) of time.
- Must have ACD copywriter level, health care experience because position is client focused.
- Strong writing skills and strategic thinking are important for this role.
