We are looking for:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented assistant video editor to join our remote production team at ASG’s creative agency. This role will be responsible for supporting the post-production department and our team of video editors, doing everything from media ingestion and project set-up to independently editing short and long form video content to archiving projects and ensuring storage costs are kept as low as possible. This is a hands-on, dynamic role that requires a strong understanding of industry-standard workflows, the ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks, and strong communication and collaboration skills. This role involves leveraging AI tools to streamline workflows, enhance editorial efficiency, and develop innovative solutions tailored to client needs. Ideal candidates are creative, tech-savvy, and passionate about the evolving landscape of content creation.
This is a temporary full time role that will go through end of the year.
Job Responsibilities:

Offload media from set and ingest into our cloud storage

Manage and keep up-to-date project templates, folders, and assets on our shared storage

Set-up new projects for video editors: creating project folders, media importing, organizing, logging, syncing, and multi-caming

Research and implement AI-driven solutions to streamline editorial workflows and enhance post-production efficiency on client projects; act as a creative and savvy AI prompter to optimize AI tool output

Work with and supporting video editors to create stringouts and postings for client review, selects sequences, and rough cuts

Prepare roundtrip workflows: preparing projects for handover, exporting to various intermediate formats, delivering to vendors, and conforming deliverables back for video editors

Troubleshoot technical issues as needed for staff and freelance editors, looping in engineering team as-needed

Cutdown and version primary video deliverables

Independently edit smaller projects, such as straight-forward DevBytes or social media content

Run technical QC passes on finished videos as needed, ensuring videos meet specifications and are without errors

Work with our Post Workstream PM to archive projects that have been completed every week, adhering to our data retention policy
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in post-production position at an agency, post-production company, or in-house creative services department

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university or college

Working knowledge of industry-standard video post-production technologies and workflows, including Adobe Premiere Pro and Creative Cloud

Proficiency in editing tools and software

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
