Social Media Manager – Book/Reading Content – Brainy Bargains
Job Description:
Brainy Bargains is looking for a passionate reader to join our marketing team and help elevate and expand our social media strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for creating posts and videos on our social media channels (Instagram & TikTok,) and collaborating on other marketing projects such as giveaways, partnerships, email newsletters, and more.
This role allows for lots of autonomy and ownership – you would be running the account on your own (from ideation, to filming, editing, and posting).
We are looking for someone who is an active non-fiction reader who enjoys reading and maybe has a large collection of books. Some professional experience with social media or other digital marketing areas is a major plus, though not required. While this is a part-time position, we welcome applications from more experienced social media marketing professionals who are excited about this specific opportunity.

Responsibilities
- Create, schedule, and post content on social media platforms showcasing awesome books and related bookish topics.
- Strategize ways to expand the social media reach and impact of our accounts.
- Report on performance of social media activity to other team members
- Devise and execute campaigns with influencers and other partners
- Collaborate on email newsletters, graphic design, and other marketing projects.
- Experience creating book-related content on social media; comfortable using a camera and editing videos for TikTok & Instagram.
- Outstanding communication, writing, and editing skills
- Knowledge of book and reading communities and trends on social media platforms, such as #booktok, #bookstagram, etc
- Familiarity with Canva, Photoshop, or other image editing software, a major plus
- Excitement at prospect of working on a small team in the book niche with lots of autonomy and ownership
Job Types: Part-time, Internship
Pay: $100.00 – $250.00 per week
Expected hours: 4 – 12 per week
