Scriptwriter for YouTube Storytelling Content
We’re a nonprofit focused on sharing powerful, untold stories of widows, orphans, and foster youth. We’re building a small but mighty content team and are looking for a scriptwriter who can help us shape these real-life narratives into YouTube-friendly scripts that move hearts and keep audiences engaged from start to finish.
✅ You’d Be a Great Fit If You Can:
Write compelling, cinematic YouTube scripts (docu-style, interview-based, or voiceover-led)
Take raw stories or interview transcripts and structure them into a narrative arc
Use hooks and cliffhangers to retain viewer interest
Know how to pace a 10–15 min video with emotion, tension, and payoff
Understand what works on YouTube in terms of tone, structure, and storytelling
🎬 Nice to Have:
Background in journalism, creative writing, screenwriting, or branded storytelling
Experience writing for doc-style YouTube channels or social media mini-docs
Familiarity with faith-based storytelling or nonprofit missions (not required, but a plus!)
Comfortable working remotely or collaborating with video editors and content leads if in person or zoom meeting requires.
We prefer to have at least one personal meeting before initiate a project.
📍 Details:
Type: Freelance / Project-Based (Pilot content for 3~4 episodes)
Location: LA preferred, but open to remote
Pay: Paid per script (based on length and scope) / to be discussed
Goal: Build a long-term creative collaboration as we grow
