YouTube Script Writer — Streamers / Viral Moments / Document | Cross Court (6.23K)
We’re looking for a long-term YouTube script writer for a channel focused on streamers, viral moments, controversies, and internet stories. our videos are mainly countdown/documentary-style videos that rely heavily on clips. We don’t want scripts filled with unnecessary narration. Your job is to research each situation, understand exactly what happened, and write short voiceovers that connect the clips and keep the story moving.
What You’ll Do
- Research streamer incidents, viral moments, and internet stories
- Find the original clips and accurate context behind them
- Verify information instead of guessing or making things up
- Write short, natural voiceover narration
- Structure stories around the footage: Setup → Clip → Transition → Clip
- Include sources, links, and timestamps when needed
- Organize each countdown from the most interesting moments to the least interesting
- Make sure the script flows naturally without overexplaining
Writing Style
We DO NOT want long documentary paragraphs or constant narration.
The clips should tell most of the story. Narration should usually be around 1–2 sentences before a clip, giving the viewer just enough context to understand what they’re about to see.
Example:
“While Mhyochi was streaming in Mumbai, two men suddenly approached her on the street. This is what happened next.”
“Dellor decided to take things into his own hands and find the guy, but that’s when this happened.”
We want writing that sounds natural, simple, entertaining, and made for YouTube — not like an article or school essay.
Who We’re Looking For
You should:
- Understand YouTube, streamers, and internet culture
- Be very good at online research
- Know how to find original clips and sources
- Verify information before writing
- Write natural and simple English
- Understand pacing and retention
- Avoid unnecessary filler
- Follow an established writing style consistently
- Be reliable with deadlines
- Be interested in long-term work
Pay & Workload
- $60–$80 per script (depending on experience and quality)
- Minimum of 6 scripts per month
- If you’re a good fit and consistently deliver quality work, you can receive up to 12 scripts per month
- This is a long-term position for the right writer
