National Ground Game is a progressive political action committee (PAC) building grassroots power to challenge systems of injustice and elect bold, people-powered leaders. Through digital media, movement organizing, and political communications, we craft stories and strategies that drive action and win campaigns.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Content Writer to lead political messaging across social media and YouTube for National Ground Game. This is not a pure rapid-response role—it’s about framing the moment, building narrative cohesion, and writing content that educates, energizes, and shapes how our audience understands politics.

The ideal candidate has experience in speechwriting, political communications, and briefing principals. You know how to take a message and scale it across platforms—turning a few key talking points into a tweet thread, a video outline, and a full-on speech if needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain National Ground Game’s core political messaging, ensuring consistency across platforms and programs.

• Write high-quality content for social media posts, talking points, YouTube scripts, and public-facing materials.

• Draft and refine speeches, remarks, and scripts for principals, influencers, and surrogate speakers.

• Lead the development of YouTube channel messaging, including outlines, video concepts, host scripts, and intros.

• Translate policy and political developments into language that connects with our base and drives engagement.

• Create and update message guidance, content calendars, and toolkits in collaboration with the communications team.
