Website Publishing Assistant (Remote California) – $25/hr – $33/hr
Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to improving lives through effective charitable giving, is looking for a part-time Website Publishing Assistant to join their team. In this role, you will collaborate with an 8-person research team to format and prepare research content for publication on their website. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently. This is a long-term, temporary part-time position with flexible hours.
**Please note that this is a remote, long-term part-time position based in Oakland, CA. Pay will be $25-$33/hr.**
Key Responsibilities:
- Format and prepare content for web publishing using structured HTML tagging in Google Docs
- Complete assignments from the research team within a 3-day turnaround window
- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of all formatting and publication processes
- Follow an established set of formatting guidelines and use internal tools effectively
- Ensure a high degree of accuracy, consistency, and professionalism in all output
- Communicate regularly with the research team to clarify questions or flag potential issues
Qualifications:
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong eye for formatting accuracy
- Tech-savvy with the ability to learn and use tools like Google Workspace and internal apps scripts
- Comfortable following step-by-step instructions and maintaining structured workflows
- Organized, reliable, and responsive—able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
- Clear written communication skills
- Basic familiarity with HTML, coding, or website content management systems
- Prior experience with documentation, data entry, editing, or publishing workflows
- Interest in research, philanthropy, or nonprofits
- Experience working in a remote team environment
