TV Writer-Editor, PEOPLE – $30-35 per hour

This assignment posting is for an Agency Worker opportunity with Dotdash Meredith. The Agency Worker is paid by a staffing agency employer. Agency Workers will receive a W2 from the staffing agency reporting their earnings for tax purposes.

PEOPLE is looking for a TV Writer-Editor to join our team, working Monday to Friday, 11 a.m. ET to 7 p.m. ET. The writer-editor will be responsible for monitoring daytime TV and news shows, and pitching, reporting and writing digital stories. They must also be willing to write and report breaking news and cover related events and TV show tapings.

The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has solid writing skills and discerning news judgment to handle a volume of 6-10 stories a day, while still delivering everything clean, sharp and accurate. This person must also be fluent in the digital landscape, including SEO and analytics. We’re looking for someone with 4-5 years of experience writing and editing for a celebrity or entertainment media brand and show a marked passion for television and celebrity news.
