Temporary Editorial Project Manager, Fashion & Luxury – $60-65/hour
Hearst Magazines’ centralized Commerce Team is looking for a temporary Project Manager to help oversee the end-to-end production of commerce news content for our portfolio of Fashion & Luxury brands, including ELLE, Harper’s BAZAAR, Esquire, and ELLE Decor.
The ideal candidate is well-versed in the world of luxury content and is comfortable working across a variety of brand styles and voices. This person should be available 35 hours/week through the end of the year. The rate is $60-65/hour.
Responsibilities
- Pitch, assign, top edit, and publish 40 commerce news stories per month to freelance writers for Hearst’s Fashion & Luxury brands
- Manage a freelance budget and help route and process invoices on a weekly basis
- Monitor and communicate performance of commerce news stories and use data to help inform new pitches
- Coordinate regularly with internal contributors, including editors at the brands, on Central Commerce, and more
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a writer or editor in digital
- Strong writing and editing skills with a talent for quick turn-around on clean, voicey, accurate copy
- Comfortable editing across a variety of subjects and able to adapt voice and style to match brands and audiences
- Top-notch organization and communication skills and ability to stay on top of day-to-day details, while interacting with multiple teams
- Comfortable using editorial analytics and content production tools, such as Google Analytics, Looker, PhotoShop, working in a CMS, and more
The base salary for this role is between $60 – $65. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
