Job Summary
The primary purpose of the Technical Writer is to research, write, and publish complete, accurate and easily usable policies and procedures for the entire organization. In addition, this position will collaborate with Compliance, Legal and HR to ensure all policies and procedures are compliant with any federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and agency/investor guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Creates, maintains, and archives policy and procedure documents for the entire organization.
- Coordinates and communicates with business/process owners to ensure documentation is reflective of accurate processes and controls
- Coordinates and communicates with Compliance and Legal to ensure all documents are in compliance with federal, state, local and agency/investor rules and regulations.
- Initiates and manages documentation approval process, driving documentation through compliance, senior management and SME (subject matter experts) for approval
- Establishes and implements a formal process for policy and procedure requests, reviews and approvals.
- Maintains project management tracking for management reporting
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications or related field
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of policy or technical writing experience
- Mortgage servicing/banking experience preferred

- Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office (including but not limited to Word, Excel and Powerpoint), Adobe Acrobat, screen capture software, and content management systems
- Experience with MadCap Flare is a plus
