Your Mission
- Supports the development, production, authoring, internal and external reviews, submittals, releases, and control of operational Maintenance Task Cards.
- Works closely with VG technical design engineers, project engineers, program managers, and subject-matter experts to ensure availability and accuracy of necessary information in preparation of writing maintenance documents.
- Utilize existing technical and procedural documentation to build aircraft maintenance based procedural task cards at the best effective and efficient level.
- Collaborate with the responsible maintenance planners to maximize task card organization and effectiveness
- Facilitate the safety, quality, engineering, and maintenance verification and validation of maintenance task cards for technical accuracy.
- Works with, flight maintenance, ground maintenance, quality, vehicle programs, and operations engineering functions to implement changes to released maintenance task cards.
- Resolve documentation deficiencies noted during usage of task cards.
- Perform on-ship documentation as required.
- Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Operations Management
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field or equivalent aerospace operations experience.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate rating preferred
- High level of proficiency in matters relating to preparation of technical data, product support data, logistic data, and technical documents.
- Proficient knowledge of the aerospace industry standards and specifications.
- Excellent writing skills in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated ability in solving complex technical problems and a strong ownership and drive to bring issues to closure.
- Demonstrated ability in communication and organizational skills.
- Applicants must be a U.S. Person as defined by the U.S. Government export regulations
- Position requires you to travel the first week of the contract for training.
Desired Skills and Experience
- At least three years’ experience working in a Title 14, Part 121 or 135 air carrier or maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) environments.
- Experience working with aircraft technical design data and blueprints and converting into aircraft maintenance style task cards.
- Previous experience in aviation maintenance department operations highly desirable.
- Professional experience in aviation/aerospace business.

To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Person (either a U.S. citizen, a lawful permanent resident or a protected individual as defined 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) or be able to obtain the required authorization from either the U.S. Department of State or the U.S. Department of Commerce. The applicant must also not be included in the list of Specifically Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons maintained by the Office of Foreign Assets Control. See list here.
The hourly rate (USD) range for this contract position is $50.00 – $55.00. The hourly rate actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, and experience and take into account internal equity.
