This position pays between $62,500 – $78,875 based on experience
The Technical Writer will have expertise in a technical field like engineering, IT or cybersecurity and will be responsible for developing comprehensive security policies and procedures, creating user-friendly compliance guides, and translating regulatory jargon into actionable steps for employees and stakeholders. He/she will document security protocols, incident response plans, and other crucial processes, ensuring that everyone has access to the necessary information to perform their duties effectively. By embodying our core purpose of customer obsession, new ideas, and driving innovation, and delivering excellence, the Technical Writer will do their part to ensure that every touchpoint is meaningful and contributes to our mission of redefining the possible in healthcare.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Content creation: Develop clear and concise content for internal web pages related to cybersecurity policies, procedures and best practices. Create diagrams of existing processes for documentation.
- Policy development: Write and update cybersecurity policies, standards and guidelines based on industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Training material: Help the training and awareness team by reviewing, providing edits and beefing up the design of training materials, presentations, guides and interactive modules to educate employees on cybersecurity awareness and compliance.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up to date documentation of cybersecurity procedures and protocols.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cybersecurity experts, IT teams and other subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy of content.
- Quality assurance: Conduct reviews of existing content to ensure clarity, consistency and adherence to organizational standards.
- Research: Stay current with cybersecurity trends, threats and technologies to incorporate relevant information into documentation and training materials.
- May be required to perform other job-related duties as requested.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s or minor in Technical Writing / Expository Writing or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar discipline
- 3+ years of Technical Writing experience
- Technical proficiency in using content management systems, Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools
- Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills, with a keen attention to detail, able to create complex diagrams of technical workflows and technologies
- Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively to various audiences
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross functional teams and independently as needed
- Adaptable, capable of quickly learning new technologies and processes in a fast-paced environment
Certifications:
- Preferred certifications include Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or equivalent
