The Role (Read Carefully)
This is a full-time ownership role, not a posting or scheduling role.
You are not “helping with social.”
You are owning the Vela Ranks brand presence end-to-end.
You will:
- Set the content standard
- Control quality
- Decide what gets published and what doesn’t.
We are looking for someone who:
- Thinks like a Head of Content
- Operates with process and discipline
- Edits at a professional, portfolio-ready level
If you consider yourself “pretty good” at editing then this role is not for you.
What You’ll Own – Content Strategy & Direction
- Study top digital agencies, creative studios, and premium brands
- Build a clear monthly content strategy aligned with Vela Ranks’ positioning
Balance:
- Authority content
- Proof & results
- Brand storytelling
- Select reach content (without trend chasing)
High-Level Content Production
- Film and edit elite short-form video for all social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn
- Edit with intention: pacing, rhythm, sound design, text hierarchy, modern Fonts, etc.
- Design clean, modern visuals that make SEO, web, and strategy feel premium – not boring
- Maintain a cohesive, recognizable visual identity across all platforms
Workflow, Process & Quality Control
- Fully own the content system inside Notion (ideas → scripts → edits → approval → publish)
- Maintain a clean, professional Google Drive structure for all assets
- Nothing goes live without intent, review, and alignment
Publishing & Optimization
- Write sharp, intelligent captions (clear hooks, no fluff, no cringe sales tactics)
- Understand platform behavior and posting strategy
- Maintain consistent, intentional publishing
Brand Presence & Reputation
- Engage with serious founders, agencies, and local DMV brands
- Represent Vela Ranks with professionalism and discretion
- Protect brand perception at all times
This Role Is NOT For

- Anyone who measures success by posting volume
Requirements (Non-Negotiable)Editing & Production
- Advanced experience with CapCut AND at least one professional editor
(DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of pacing, sound, visual hierarchy, and storytelling
- Comfortable with Photoshop or equivalent for clean, modern design
Organization & Discipline
- Highly structured and process-driven
- Comfortable operating independently inside Notion and Google Workspace
- Able to manage multiple projects without reminders
Taste & Judgment
- Strong visual taste and restraint
- Understands how premium brands communicate
- Knows when not posting is better than posting
Experience
- Proven experience managing professional brand accounts
- Experience with agencies, studios, or quality-driven brands
- Clear understanding of the difference between creator content and brand content
