Position Summary:
The Social Media Manager will manage Truelearn, APEX Anesthesia, Picmonic, and COMQUEST brands across social media platforms, emphasizing promoting a positive experience for current and prospective customers and driving brand awareness, community growth, increasing brand relevancy, and revenue across social platforms.
The Role:
Social Media Manager (SMM) will ensure users across four brands (Picmonic, TrueLearn, APEX Anesthesia, and COMQUEST brands) are provided outstanding and efficient support to cultivate an active and supportive community on social media. The SMM will lead in managing and scaling the social media platforms through data-driven decisionmaking and engaging, platform-specific content. In addition, the SMM will participate in managing, scheduling, and supporting the brand communities on social media to promote overall brand/product awareness and consistency.
Some key responsibilities will include:
● Own the management of brand content calendars for current and future companies, currently Picmonic, TrueLearn, COMQUEST, and APEX Anesthesia to ensure our brands stay top of mind and consistent
● Work with marketing professionals to develop social media campaigns for channel growth, brand awareness, and revenue growth
● Facilitate collaboration between other departments, including affiliate, promotions and product, to provide evergreen, campaign, and real-time support on social media channels
● Manage the engagement of all major social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, TikTok, Pinterest, Threads, and Linkedin, effectively communicating each brands voice and tone. Management includes keeping all accounts up to date, checking notifications, mentions, direct messages, comments, engagement, etc, to ensure engagement across all channels is appropriate, on-brand, and as real-time as possible
● Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging, on-brand content daily including reels, stories, original captions, photos, videos, news, etc.) that encourages customer/community interaction
● Research audience preferences and monitor industry trends, platform updates, analytics, competitor activity, and benchmarks within the social media landscape to identify branded content opportunities and optimal social strategies
● Collaborate with other teams, including marketing, sales, product, and customer service, to ensure brand consistency and support promotions on social media
● Support social media campaigns to drive growth, reach, and engagement. Push the boundaries to create compelling content that shows the brand’s dedication to helping students succeed while connecting with followers in fresh ways
● Ideate new ways to attract prospective customers, like promotions, competitions, and joining relevant conversation and aligning with meaningful and appropriate cultural trends
● Support the affiliate marketing team by strengthening relationships with influencers and supporting their content on the company’s social media channels
● Utilize social media marketing tools, like Canva and Hootsuite to track and report on KPIs and ROI of social initiatives
● Highlight top performing partner/affiliate content for paid ad placement
● Manage multiple projects, campaigns, sales, and content calendars simultaneously
● Utilize creative writing skills with the ability to communicate a variety of messages while keeping brand voices consistent
Requirements:
● Bachelor’s degree
● Strong understanding of social media and search channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, Threads, YouTube, X, and podcast platforms
● Strong collaboration, leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams to inform and produce content
● Ability to move quickly without sacrificing quality in a remote environment
● Passion for social media, content marketing, and getting your hands dirty
● Deep understanding of the nuances of various social media channels
● Ability to think beyond “best practices,” and what is typically done on social media to create effective and memorable content for the brands
● An understanding and passion for audience development and growth
● Exceptional written communication skills – grammar is extremely important when posting to social media
● Adept at managing multiple projects
● Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
● Expertise in multiple social media platforms
● Ability to collaborate to produce and edit creative content (text, image, and video)
● Ability to grasp future trends in the social landscape and act proactively
