The Opportunity
We’re seeking a creative and strategic Social Media Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to shape our brand voice across all social media channels while building meaningful connections with our community of movers and customers. You’ll play a crucial role in growing our online presence and establishing LocalMovers.com as the go-to resource in the moving industry.
Key ResponsibilitiesContent Strategy & Creation
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies across all major platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter)
- Create engaging, on-brand content including graphics, videos, carousels, and written posts
- Produce moving tips, industry insights, customer success stories, and educational content
- Maintain a consistent content calendar with 15-20 posts per week across all platforms
Community Management
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions across all social channels within 2-4 hours during business hours
- Engage proactively with our community, industry partners, and potential customers
- Manage online reputation by addressing customer feedback professionally
- Foster relationships with moving companies in our network
Analytics & Growth
- Track and analyze social media performance using native analytics and third-party tools
- Prepare monthly reports on engagement, reach, follower growth, and conversion metrics
- Identify trends and optimize content strategy based on data insights
- A/B test different content types, posting times, and engagement strategies
Paid Social Advertising
- Plan, create, and manage paid social media campaigns
- Optimize ad spend across platforms to maximize ROI and lead generation
- Collaborate with the marketing team on campaign objectives and targeting strategies
Brand Collaboration
- Partner with moving industry influencers and satisfied customers for user-generated content
- Coordinate with partner moving companies for co-marketing opportunities
- Maintain brand consistency across all communications and visual content
Required QualificationsExperience & Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on social media marketing experience, preferably in B2B or service industries
- Proven track record of growing social media accounts and driving engagement
- Proficiency with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, or similar)
- Experience with paid social advertising (Facebook Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in social media analytics platforms
Technical Competencies
- Advanced knowledge of all major social media platforms and their best practices
- Basic graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools
- Video editing capabilities for short-form content (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
- Understanding of SEO principles and how they apply to social media
- Familiarity with CRM systems and lead tracking
Communication & Creativity
- Excellent written English communication skills (additional European languages are a plus)
- Strong visual storytelling abilities
- Ability to adapt brand voice for different platforms and audiences
- Creative problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field
- Experience in the moving, logistics, or home services industry
- Knowledge of B2B marketing strategies and customer acquisition
- Experience with email marketing platforms and marketing automation
- Understanding of seasonal business cycles and peak moving periods
- Google Analytics and Google Ads certification
