Social Media Editor, Men’s Journal

We are looking for candidates with proven experience managing brand social media accounts and creating original, platform-specific content for channels like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

Men’s Journal is seeking a sharp, culture-savvy, and lifestyle-obsessed Social Media Editor to lead our social channels with a strong focus on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows how to craft content that feels native to each platform, leans into the Men’s Journal lifestyle (food, fitness, gear, whiskey, watches, and travel), and builds a loyal following through smart storytelling and trend-aware execution. You’ll work closely with our editorial, video, and brand teams to bring Men’s Journal to life across social media in a fresh, modern, and scroll-stopping way.
The Arena Group’s expected hourly pay rate range for this position is currently $30 – $36 per hour. Actual pay may vary based on multiple factors including education, experience and other factors permitted by law. What You’ll Do:
- Own daily content creation across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts with a distinct Men’s Journal tone and visual identity. This includes video + graphic content.

Shoot and edit short-form video, often using existing content, trending sounds, voiceovers, and original ideas

Pitch and execute video series tied to fitness, food, gear, drinks, grooming, travel, and culture — from “how to cook a perfect steak” to “top whiskey picks under $50”

Track trends, memes, & relevant moments, and turn them into smart, timely content tailored to our audience

Collaborate across teams to integrate branded content, sponsorships, and high-impact franchises into social coverage
- Stay audience-focused: review social performance data and adapt content accordingly. You know when to pivot and how to keep an audience engaged.
What You’ll Bring:
- Hands-on experience running social accounts (ideally for a lifestyle, men’s, or consumer brand)

A strong portfolio of social-first video content, especially short-form video on TikTok and Instagram Reels

Deep understanding of platform trends, formats, and tone — you know what makes a video land

Comfort with editing tools like CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro + Photoshop

Passion for men’s lifestyle content, including fitness, food, fashion, gear, drinks, and more
