About Us
Balanced Living Academy is a rapidly growing mentorship and business education company helping occupational therapists build profitable, expansive careers beyond the limitations of traditional clinical employment.
The Academy is supported by the personal brand of its founder, Dr. Jaycee Barry, an occupational therapist, entrepreneur and business mentor. Her content combines thought leadership, occupational therapy, entrepreneurship, financial growth, career freedom and the realities of building a meaningful business.
We are seeking a highly capable Social Media and Content Manager to grow and manage both Dr. Jaycee Barry’s personal brand and Balanced Living Academy’s organic social media presence.
This is a long-term role for someone who understands how to transform a founder’s expertise, personality and raw content into a cohesive content ecosystem that generates attention, trust, qualified leads and measurable business growth.
Position Overview
The Social Media and Content Manager will own the daily execution of our organic social media strategy across Instagram and other priority platforms.
The founder regularly produces talking-head videos, B-roll, educational insights, business perspectives and behind-the-scenes content. This person will organize, repurpose, publish and strategically distribute that content while protecting the founder’s voice and maintaining a premium, recognizable brand.
This role is not limited to posting. The successful candidate will understand content positioning, audience psychology, platform trends, lead generation and conversion-focused calls to action.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage the organic social presence for Dr. Jaycee Barry and Balanced Living Academy
- Develop and maintain an organized weekly and monthly content calendar
- Transform raw videos, B-roll, voice notes and founder ideas into publishable content

- Publish and schedule content across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook and other approved platforms
- Repurpose high-performing content across multiple platforms and formats
- Develop content campaigns supporting masterclasses, mentorship enrollment, launches and other offers

- Monitor comments, mentions and community engagement
- Route qualified inquiries and sales conversations to the appropriate team member
- Maintain clear boundaries between community engagement and sales qualification
- Identify trends and adapt them appropriately to the occupational therapy and entrepreneurship audience
- Organize content assets, approvals and published materials
- Review performance weekly and recommend changes based on evidence
- Track content performance beyond likes and follower counts
- Collaborate with the founder, brand leadership, paid ads manager, sales team and CRM manager
- Maintain brand consistency across both accounts without making them feel repetitive
- Protect confidential business, client and team information
